Hello NYC is an official domain registration service for .NYC names. Hello NYC is brought to you by CCI REG, ICANN Accredited Registrar. How much will each address cost? You can apply now for a Pre-registration priced at 30 USD or for a Landrush priority request priced at 70 USD. How is the city going to let small businesses know about the service? The city is starting its outreach to let everyone know how and when to apply. We @ hellodotnyc (hellodotnyc.com) are also in the process of getting the word out. When will people get to start registering? People can apply now for a Landrush Priority request or can submit a Pre-registration. - A Landrush priority request will be sent now to City, but only until Oct 3, and if no one else submitted a request for the same domain, will the domain be given to the applicant. If two applicants requested the same domain (through a Landrush priority request before Oct 3), they will go to auction to determine the owner. - If someone submits a Pre-registration through hellodotnyc.com we will try to get that application first in the queue of registrations on Oct 8. This date, registrations will be served in the order they arrive and domains will be registered right away. Any domain registered through the Landrush phase will not be available On Oct 8.
