Hias develops and market radical solutions for biological waste water treatment. By combining targeted R&D efforts with operational insight, Hias has developed the patented Hias Process for biological nutrient removal. The process delivers superior nutrient removal with low OPEX and favourable carbon footprint. The highly sustainable Hias process also eliminates or minimize the use of precipitation chemicals, hence more than 50% of the total phosphorus can be recycled as struvite.The Hias process is demonstrated through several pilot studies and is currently operational at full scale (10 000 PE) at Hias IKS, Norway.
