Why settle for a journalist who shoots mediocre pictures or work with a photographer who doesn't know any grammar, when you can have the best combined? That's the reason Jorrit R Dijkstra is a professional in both. Educated at the School for Journalism in The Netherlands and autodidact in the world of photography he practises both arts on the highest level. In the past Jorrit worked for (regional) Dutch newspapers like Almere Vandaag, De Telegraaf, Sp!ts and De Pers, where he learned the ropes about journalism. After specialising in the arts & culture scene he worked as editor-in-chief for music websites 3VOOR12 and Betribes. Ever since photography has become his passion he works freelance for magazines like Zoom, Shoot, Silvershotz and SHUTR, where he used to be the managing editor. As a child of the internet generation he has extended computer knowledge and also contributes to online media like Overdose.am and This is Africa, publishing in Dutch as well as in English. Even though he now lives in Brisbane, Australia, the Amsterdam born journalist has an excessive interest in the African continent. He publishes mainly about arts & culture, entertainment, photography and human interest.KVK: 34382544BTW: NL199092266B01Clients:SHUTR fotomagazineDe Pers / iPersOverdose.amThis is AfricaShootZoom.nlSilvershotzThe Big Issue
