Arts and Crafts - N/A, N/A, N/A
Hip Hop Fundamentals is a diverse team of Philadelphia B-Boys dedicated to spreading true Hip Hop as an inspiration and academic tool. We are the world's only education company run by professional Breakdancers, using the dynamic American art form of Breaking to effectively teach academic content, youth empowerment, and social issues. HHF is managed in PA and NJ by the prestigious Young Audiences organization, and has performed over 2000 shows since our inception in 2010. We truly believe that youth learn best when they are engaged, when they relate to the material, and when they are having fun. All of our residencies, performances, and workshops are designed with our Educational Director Aaron Troisi (a classroom teacher with a Masters in Education), and are geared towards putting students in the driver's seat of their own education. Our educational philosophy was published in Advocating Creatively, a Columbia University book on social change pioneers, and was also the topic of our 2013 TedX presentation. All of our performances and workshops are dynamic, interactive, and adjustable for grades K-12. We design programs around Anchor Standards of Education, and we are managed in PA and NJ by the prestigious Young Audiences organization.
