Human Rights Watch and Media Organization are previously known as Women Human rights and Media Organization (WHMO) civil society and non-for-profit organization committed to promoting human rights, media outlets, and the democratization process in Afghanistan. The mission of the Human Rights Watch and Media Organization' is to have a just and pluralistic society where human rights and women's rights are recognized, protected, and respected. Our work has three major components: (1) Advocacy, (2) Capacity Building, and (3) Media Management. We sensitize and capacitate the public, policy influencers, civil society organizations, and communities to raise awareness, willingness, and support audiences' actions to influence policymakers regarding socio-political, gender equality, and democratic structures. WHMO was created in December 2010, we are a highly qualified and proficient team with experience in various disciplines and our result-oriented approach set us apart from our competitors. We have rich experience in the proposed areas as we have already implemented the same nature of assignments several times with promising results. Gender equality, training, and development, peace and security, capacity building, legal and advocacy programs are the areas in which we have worked with both national and international donors and this is WHMO edge over others as well as its 10 years of experience is making it stand out in the long run of the competition.WHMO is well-equipped and well-resourced with modern studio where all activities are covered with/by professional, experienced staff like journalists. We have more than 34 independent FM radio stations which have been working as its broadcasting radio partners and a partnership with Nye Express of CD distribution company and has 50 volunteer local media monitor members, 8 public thought research team in 8 zones and 4 central monitoring team members. At the same time, we have an electronic monitoring system.
