We are a network of professional scientists with expertise in fundamental and applied scientific research, university level teaching, postgraduate supervision and mentoring, project management and governance, consulting. We are based in Australia and have collaborations in Europe, Asia and North America. Our facilities include: research-grade optical microscopy laboratory for transmitted and reflected light examination of geological materials, PC and MacOSX computers, scientific and desktop mapping software, professional library, database management system. We also have collaborative or commercial access to external sample preparation and microanalytical facilities. We offer mineralogy and petrology services, scientific consulting for industry, government and not-for-profit organisations, curriculum development for the education sector, workshops and training, public speaking.
