Institute of Foreign Trade and Management (IFTM) was established in Moradabad in 1996, by a family of public spirited entrepreneurs, led by social figure and philanthropist Late Sri Onkar Saran Kothiwal, under the administrative and academic leadership of Dr. R.M. Dubey, its founder Director with BBA, MBA and MIB programmes of Management. This was the first Institute in the region to conceptualize and successfully run these programmes. The Institute later added B.Pharm, M. Pharm, BCA and MCA programmes. In 2002, the Institute widened its horizon by starting a new institution namely the College of Engineering & Technology, with B.Tech courses in Computer Science & Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Biotechnology and M. Tech in Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engg. By 2010, the IFTM group had established itself as leading group of institutions in the State, to offer UG & PG programmes in Management, Pharmacy, Computer Applications and Engineering & Technology. All existing Professional & Technical courses are approved by AICTE whereas B. Pharm course by PCI also. the U.P. Govt. accorded the group, a University status through IFTM University Act No. 24 of 2010.
