We created Ignis out of a personal need for more practical systems to communicate, distribute, and view intelligence on wildland fires. As fires in the United States become increasingly more severe, deadly, and difficult to manage, firefighters and their organizations require new tools to remain effective and safe. Ignis Technologies delivers these tools through a suite of mobile and web applications designed to increase firefighter situational awareness and provide a unified common operating picture, regardless of the agency or organization they belong to. Through collaborative development with Federal, State, and City programs, Ignis works to develop a first-of-its-kind unified application, delivering functionality and benefits which were previously unattainable to firefighters, fire managers, decision-makers, and the organizations they serve.
