Indian Institute of Packaging is an autonomous body under aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. Of India The Institute endeavors to improve the standard of packaging needed for the promotion of exports and create infrastructural facilities for overall packaging improvement in India. This is achieved through the Institute's multifarious activities which are today, in line with the premier packaging institutes all over the world. The Institute aims to make India a focal point for contemporary developments in Art, Science, Technology and Engineering, with respect to the field of Packaging. IIP Kolkata has a NABL accredited lab for testing of packaging materials equipped with the latest, high profile testing equipment.The Institute has its headquarters in Mumbai. Other than Kolkata, it has branches in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi.
