Inkululeko Wildlife Services (Pty) Ltd (IWS) is a leading African ecological consulting company, based in South Africa, with over 22 years of credible experience and quality product delivery. We use innovative scientific methodologies to conduct fieldwork, data analyses, and reporting to assess the impact of development on wildlife, and to develop sustainable, integrated and defensible solutions for our clients. The IWS team has been at the forefront of assessing wind energy-wildlife challenges in Africa for over 10 years and are leaders in the development of the bat and wind-energy guidelines in South Africa.. The senior IWS personnel have specialist knowledge on African bats, birds and frogs and have performed over 50 wind-energy wildlife pre-and post-construction monitoring and assessment projects throughout most of South Africa, and in Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, and Namibia. In addition, the team have extensive general biodiversity experience in South Africa, including projects in the DRC and Sierra Leone. IWS works with and collaborates on various ecological projects with a multitude of scientists and specialists in Africa, USA, UK and Europe. The partnership of local IWS African experts coupled with access to expansive teams of international leading scientists and statisticians results in world-class products and solutions for our clients.
