Non-Profit - Greensboro, NC, US
At the Institute for Family, we believe family is the foundation for healthy children and strong communities. We exist to elevate and accelerate the growing movement to promote family well-being, a holistic, preventative approach to addressing the conditions that lead to family stress and child maltreatment and ensuring families have the opportunities they need to thrive. We believe this starts with listening to families, trusting their lived expertise, and working with them to inform and inspire a new way forward. We will accomplish our mission by sharing family stories to inspire champions for family well-being, advancing the development of a family well-being system to supplement and reduce the need for a child welfare system, and providing reliable, relatable parent education to help strengthen families in raising healthy, happy children. The Institute for Family was founded by Children's Home Society of North Carolina, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, and is grounded in its mission and belief in family. A national effort, the Institute will capitalize on Children Home Society's 118-year history of working with families and national partners to establish a coalition to elevate family well-being.
