Italcastagne Srl was established in 2008. It's a young and dynamic company where product innovation and respect for the family traditions are still the most important points that lead the company towards new goals. Everything started in 1940, when the first employers began exporting the Irpinia chestnuts to the United States of America. It was a real success and in 1980 their sons decided to start processing the raw material and to market it as an end product. 2000 has been a pivotal year because the new generation started to test a new product, the ready-to-eat chestnut, that became the leading product three years later. Its main feature is the steam cooking process, which is the real trademark of the company and allows the product to keep its natural flavour and properties. In 2012 that idea was applied to other natural products, such as tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and olives… that's how Naturì was born.
