IUPUI's Dance Marathon, commonly known as Jagathon, is a 15-hour dance marathon that takes place every first weekend of March at IUPUI with the purpose of raising both funds and awareness for pediatric research. We listen to music, play games, spend time with the kids and families we support, and even do a bit of dancing. Dance Marathon is For The Kids; that's always our focus. Jagathon is a 365-day commitment to raising money for Riley Hospital for Children. With the goal of raising money for Riley comes the yearly celebration of our hard work during Dance Marathon Weekend. In 2020, we raised over $607,000 for the kids. Over the last nineteen years, Jagathon has raised nearly 1.5 million dollars for the kids.Jagathon supports all kids treated at Riley Hospital for Children. We serve. We fundraise. We inspire. We hope. Dance Marathon is neither a dance nor a marathon; it is a celebration of our movement. Jagathon has been helping children with life-threatening illnesses for nearly two decades, giving financial and emotional support for hundreds of families across Indiana through the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research.
