Museums - Tacoma, WA, US
Job Carr Cabin Museum is bringing Tacoma's birthplace to life through interactive learning for elementary students and our community. The Cabin is a replica of Tacoma's first permanent non-Native residence. It was built in 2000 about a block away from the original site of Job's frontier home. Visitors can learn about the early settlers who came here, how they lived, what industries put Tacoma on the map, and much more. The Cabin is a "pay as you can" museum; there is no admission cost. Donations make it possible to provide our programs to anyone who wants to learn about Tacoma's unique history. The Cabin is open W-Sat afternoons. Tours and school field trips are scheduled by appointment.
