Nonprofit Organization Management - Hialeah, Florida, United States
WE ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT HEALTH STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE ON THEIR FIRST MEDICAL MISSION. Until every health student goes on a medical mission trip, we have work to do. Jose's Hands is a non-profit organization that awards scholarships to health students, connects them with medical mission trips, and helps them fundraise to go on the trip. Founded in 2009 to honor the late Maj. Jose Jamil Miranda, MD, MPH, US Army, Jose's Hands aims to address the shortage of mission doctors and professionals while the world's underserved population continues to grow. Our mission is to provide all of the information, tools and resources to make it as easy as possible for all health students to attend a medical mission. Jose's Hands is registered with the State of Florida as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. A copy of the official registration and financial information may be obtained from the Division of Consumer Services by calling toll-free 800-435-7352 within the State. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by the State.
