Josie Chen, Shanghai's own designer and accessories brand, was launched in 2010 and is located in the heart of Shanghai. Our founder and creative director was raised in the United Kingdom and moved to Asia in the late 90's to study fine art and textile design. Now, after 15 years of living in different countries, she has made a home in Shanghai. She started designing accessories on a whim, asked by a friend to display a collection in the UK. Those first pieces sold out instantaneously, and since then, our brand continuously grows with each new collection. Rebellious, edgy and inimitable, the brand fuses feminine designs with an industrial edge that can be found nowhere else. Josie Chen incorporates her love of diverse cultures, good music, fine art and high end fashion into each collection. Our designs constantly evolve with emerging cultural trends and innovative fusions of new and different materials. At the heart of our company is our passion for art and design. We aspire to bring art back to its roots by giving each piece a true, one-of-a-kind originality that people can feel and exude when they wear our pieces. All collection pieces are handmade in-house with a limited number of pieces per style, and all materials are lead, nickel, and cadmium free. Today, our brand range has grown to incorporate multiple unique lines including Josie Chen, JC by Josie Chen, JC Limited, and Urbanistic. We hope to continue our passion for the craft of hand-made art while expanding and spreading brand awareness of Josie Chen Range. For the future, we are focusing on regional expansion in places such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and are looking for potential growth opportunities to help launch our brand into a global company.
