Transitioning basic research and commercial technologies into enabling products for the aerospace industry and associated research communities is the core mission of JW Research & Design. Founded in July 2014, JW R&D was created to advance the small satellite platform and enable new research and operational capabilities by pursuing lower-cost and more capable spacecraft sub-system technologies and aerospace tools. Currently focused on developing flight systems and technologies for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Department of Defense, it also engages in basic research into the space environment and its modeling. JW R&D offers design and development services in hardware as well as software, helping customers in government and commercial space realize their designs or data analysis goals.
