The Lions Mission: To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs.The global causes of the Lions Club International include vision, hunger, diabetes, childhood cancer and the environment. We serve the local community in many ways, including food baskets, eyeglasses collections, vision screenings, roadside litter cleanup and other service projects. The Karns Lions Club Community Park on Beaver Ridge Rd serves as a community recreation center with a public swimming pool, all-inclusive handicap accessible playground, picnic pavilion, meeting space, and ballfields. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 6:30.
