"Uncle Mark" Olmstead is an award-winning children's author and recording artist whose mission is making a positive difference one song and one story at a time. His coloring book, story book and inter-generational family keepsake, "The Adventures of The True Sunbeam," won the international Best Indie Book Award! Music has always played a defining role in Mark's life. As a child listening to tapes his mom made, he heard greats like Glen Campbell, Elvis and Dean Martin. As a young teen, John Denver's "Farewell Andromeda" exemplified music that makes a difference. While in the Air Force, he won a talent show performing his first original song. Traveling and busking on the streets of New Zealand and Australia put him in touch with diverse audiences. Now, Mark uses his universal experience with music and poetry to create stories and songs that empower people of all ages and bring families closer together. "The Adventures of The True Sunbeam" is now available on Amazon.com in both print and ebook formats, and is currently being translated into Spanish (expected release: Fall 2018).
