Khanya is a UK based, volunteer led charity (registration no 1181592) whose vision is to equip young people in Southern Africa with practical trade skills so they can earn a living and support their families. The charity was formed in 2019.Khanya advocates for, and by working with partners, helps to facilitate the provision of holistic trades skill training, as well as mentorship, so young people can be fully supported in gaining specific skills and overall basic business knowledge. The charity provides funds for materials, training and a basic stipend for trainees and apprentices, where applicable, and works with partners and local industry to foster local needs led projects, as well as apprenticeships and work experience placements.
