Kutchi Language Online (KLO) is a cultural-retention project aimed at documenting the vocabulary and syntax of the Kutchi language. By developing a unified source of information, KLO will be able to serve as a resource for those living in a minority context who wish to learn, relearn, or further investigate the nature of the Kutchi language, while still maintaining their culture and heritage, as well.KLO is the first moderately-extensive, easily-accessible documentation of the Kutchi language, giving it the potential to play a pivotal role in the academic study of linguistics and South Asian languages. It is hoped that KLO will be able to serve as a foundation for more academic, rigorous research on the Kutchi language, perhaps even as a cultural catalyst, inspiring others to further pursue the retention of this language. This is particularly applicable to the Kutchi-speaking populations that have settled in Western societies, making them prone to cultural assimilation.
