When we opened our first pub – the Mash Tun in 1996 – it was like nothing Brighton had seen before. Ground-breaking enough to be controversial, it has since become the blueprint in Brighton, and the building block for a group of independent pubs that has grown to 56 in number across that city and London.Laine pubs are amazing places to be – people invest in them emotionally, making them their ‘third places' – a second home, a place to meet, discuss ideas, hatch plans or catch up.
