LASOAR was founded in January of 2016 by Laura Palmer and Hannah Mason. LASOAR, the Louisiana Association of Sports, Outdoor Adventure, and Recreation is a Nonprofit Organization based in Lafayette, Louisiana. Our mission is to promote health and wellness through the power of play and to provide opportunities for youth and families to reconnect with the natural world. We teach native gardening practices and lead weekend day trips to various state parks, national forests and waterways. Our goal is to reconnect children to the natural world and promote the power of play to improve child and family health and well-being.
