The Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) was founded in 2007 by a group of volunteers who understood that state funding was not enough to meet the needs of our Leander Independent School District (LISD) students and staff. Additional resources were critical to support innovation, enrichment and equity in pursuit of academic excellence within LISD.Our annual partners make our mission possible. Their generosity and commitment equates to nearly $100,000 in annual support. Through our annual partners and fundraising events, $70,000 in grants and $30,000 in AP exam, dual credit textbook and mLISD scholarships are provided annually. College coaches are funded at each high school campus. Project graduation, reading initiatives, fine arts and programs, such as INCubatoredu are supported.What began as a $17,000 foundation is now a $350,000 foundation with a five year vision to become a $1,000,000 foundation.
