Leg Up provides riders and families with the tools and perspective to navigate the complex equestrian world while staying connected to what is most important. Performance Consultant, Dr. Darby Bonomi has the wisdom of 25 years as a practicing psychologist and a life-long participation in the equestrian world as a rider, parent and owner. Her Leg Up practice is built on her vision of long term health and happiness of riders, horses, and their support systems. Darby Bonomi PhD helps clients reclaim the joy in riding, helping them achieve greater well-being which turns into improved performance in and out of competition. She also helps families unravel their toughest challenges — from how to choose a training program to how to communicate with their rider on show days. Darby has a strong commitment to the future of the equestrian sport and serves as an Advisor and Ambassador to Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center, is a USET Foundation's National Advisory Committee Member, and is training to become a Judge.She works on the phone, via FaceTime, in person, or onsite depending on location and availability.
