We are Carmen and Oskar, two biologists who, without losing sight of tradition, put all our effort and knowledge in carrying out innovation in agriculture. The vision of our company, Leiriñas de Uz, is a mixture of ecological and regenerative agriculture, based on the idea of circular economy. We learnt from our great-grandparents and grandparents, who recycled and used what they had in their environment to raise their vegetables with love and care for soil and plants, while preserving their environment for the future, but we also are in touch with the latest trends and discoveries. One of our objectives is to create a favorable environment for our crops. We are founded on our respect for the soil, a superorganism made up of millions of organisms embedded in a matrix of clay, sand and organic matter that, together with water, are the sustenance and environment of exchange of nutrients with the roots of our plants. Our biotechnological line focuses on giving a second useful life to waste from food companies, transforming or reconverting it into beneficial substances for the field. We seek quality through species of promising organoleptic and productive qualities, together with the minimization of the effects of those organisms that hinder the production of our plants.
