Founded in 1990, Liga Filipina is the Filipino-American student organization of Columbia University. The mission of Liga Filipina is to unify Columbia students and community members interested in Filipino culture and history through social interaction, cultural programs and activities, educational exchange, and political awareness.We support this mission through our annual events which include Filipino American History Month programming, participation in CU Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with our annual LASA: Taste of the Philippines, and much more, ranging from social gatherings to academic guest speakers.Liga Filipina is also an active member of District III of the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue, a student-led organization whose mission is to promote unity among Filipino students enrolled in institutions of higher education. FIND, Inc. seeks to offer a channel for dialogue and action, to promote and preserve the Filipino culture, to further awareness of issues pertinent to the Filipino community, and to act as a catalyst to pool the efforts of Filipino organizations.Awards:Battle of the Barrios XVIII - Team Trending, 2019Frederick A.P.
