Mental Health Care - , ,
My mission is to work together with clients to create meaningful change in their lives. Creating meaningful change is a process and can benefit from the collaboration with a therapist. As a clinical psychologist, providing my therapy entails a mixture of empathy, insight and skill building. I work with individuals, couples and families. My clients range in age between 8 and 80 years old. I provide general psychotherapy, with a special emphasis on treating depression, anxiety, trauma and personality disorders. Treatment plans are individualized and incorporate a combination of insight oriented and skill building interventions based in Existential-Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies. I offer therapy and consultation services. I have earned degrees in social work, special education and clinical psychology. I have post-graduate training that include topics in: neuropsychology, treating trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy. My husband, Rusty and I love exploring Colorado and watching movies with our adorable labradoodle, Millie. Rusty and I have been married for 35 years and we have two wonderful, grown children. We have lived in Colorado for 32 years, but we both grew up in Texas. In my leisure I enjoy traveling, reading, music, photography and painting.
