The Political Risk and Investment Society at the London School of Economics is the leading student society in the field of political risk. Our aim is to foster a deeper understanding amongst our community of the political risks faced by states, societies and financial markets worldwide. To achieve this goal, our annual series of lectures includes speakers from various fields, ranging from political officials to political risk industry representatives and journalists. Furthermore, by hosting a series of workshops simulating real world events and problems, we intend to translate the theoretical knowledge our members acquire through their academic studies into practical use. The various networking events our society hosts create opportunities for students to connect to political risk professionals, with the intention of assisting students in securing placements in this industry. Ultimately, we aim to create an environment that stimulates students and produces future leaders capable of understanding and tackling the challenges of tomorrow. Anyone can join our society via the LSE Students Union website. By joining, you receive exclusive access to PRIS events and job opportunities. You can also like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter @LSE_SU_PRIS. On these sites, you can receive updates on our 2016/17 event series, as well as regular and concise updates about the latest political risks around the world produced by PRIS Spotlight, our original political risk news service.
