Hi! I'm Pieter VanhoveFor many years Microsoft SQL Server is really my passion. I started in het magical year 2000 as a developer but after one year I applied for a support engineer role in the telecom industry. That's where I learned SQL Server in a very critical environment. After many years, I decided to leave the telco world, I wanted to focus on SQL Server only, so I became a SQL Server Database Consultant. Loved that job and after a few years I had the opportunity to start at Microsoft as a Premier Field Engineer Data & AI. Last year I moved internally to the Data Migration Jumpstart team and now I'm a member of the Early Access Engineering Team.My other passion is teaching SQL Server. I've been a speaker at many conferences including PASS Summit, SQLBits, Microsoft Ignite, dataMinds Connect,… I have a profound knowledge in high availability and disaster recovery solutions and loves the new Azure stuff. Together with the dataMinds Team in Belgium, I help organizing dataMinds Connect the biggest data event in Belgium.I started this Data Consultancy side project because I was missing the hands-on work in my current role. Now I can combine everything I like about data!
