Yarg is not made anywhere else. Every single truckle comes from our small rural dairy at Ponsanooth in mid Cornwall but is sold all over the world.Our nettle covered Yarg has been in production for thirty years but we didn't start wrapping cheese in Wild Garlic leaves until about ten years ago. In 2017, we won the World Cheese Awards with Cornish Kern, which is made to a different recipe, a long maturing Alpine style cheese with a black waxy rind.We are a small team of about 30 people, from cheesemakers to nettlers and packers, most of us from the immediate rural catchment area around our dairy.
