Ma3kon (pronounced "maakon" and meaning "with you" in Arabic – "معكم") is a grassroots humanitarian organisation that was established in the wake of the August 4th Beirut explosion. The initiative is student-led and aims to ensure the accessibility of essential products to vulnerable and marginalised groups in Lebanon. Our organisation focuses on combating unequal access to basic hygiene and the rise of period poverty in the country by supplying diapers and menstrual products to local NGOs, CSOs, and victims of the Beirut blast. We also aim to deconstruct social taboos entrenched in the MENA region through educational posts on social media. As of today, Ma3kon has donated over 10,000 menstrual products and 10,000 diapers (both adult and children size) all over Lebanon.
