Malton Black Development Association Details
The Malton Black Development Association is a Registered non-profit organization of residents dedicated to the fostering of a good inter-community relationship in the Malton area and beyond, through educational cultural and social activities. Through this vision, we focus on the following objectives:- Work cooperatively with parents, guardians and all stakeholders to improve the academic standing of primarily underachieving, Black students in the Canadian educational setting.- Encourage and promote the social and cultural expression of out Association's members and like-minded individuals through respectful community interaction.- Mentor and empower Black adults to participate constructively and the decision-making level of our educational system that impacts on their families, friends and acquaintances.- Promote youth and adult involvement in recreational and competitive sporting activities that contribute to a healthy lifestyle.- Meet regularly to brainstorm issues that affect our community, and to provide viable solutions/alternative to such issues for the enhancement of our community.- Sponsor programs that educate the less fortunate about available resources that can enhance their livelihoods.
