Manusaya is born out of our team anxiety about the 'new normal' that occurred in the world, where bad things we once considered uncommon, now feel normal. We used to be quiet about this until we saw people start to position differences as a weapon to break the nation apart instead of a way to unite us all. We always believe that diversity is part of our DNA as an Indonesian, but at that moment we almost questioned that belief. We started to see people forgetting that despite all of our differences, we are all human and therefore we should treat each other like our own. One thing that stops us from giving up is the thought of Giving Up itself. How would you feel if someone gives up on you because you made the wrong turn in life? We know we would be very heartbroken because as a human being, we make mistakes every day, and therefore we shouldn't give up on people. At least not now when we haven't done anything." We believe there are more good people in the world than the bad ones. And we have faith that love can change one's heart. With that belief in mind, we started a movement that shows love in the things that we do, so we could remind people what it means to be human. We created Manusaya project, a youth organization that aims to put back humanity values in human. We focus on one cause at a time and help both the marginalized and privileged at the same time.We created a program to empower those who are often forgotten or ignored. At the same time, we also do a social campaign to raise awareness towards the issues in social media, to burst the bubble of the more privileged ones, and to inspire more actions. We believe understanding each other's point of view make the society less harming and more acceptance towards diversity.
