Marigan (Marigan Holding BV and its subsidiaries) will soon be the world's leading producer of valuable micro-algae. The founders of the company have spent three years of extensive research and testing to develop a scientifically optimized production process and unique sterile technology to cultivate various types of micro-algae of a superior quality, in large commercial volumes.Marigan's advanced FFE Technology grows, optimizes and transforms micro-algae under high-tech conditions, thereby delivering products of a quality which can be used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Until now creating the perfect conditions to cultivate micro-algae has only been possible in small-scale laboratory setups. The company's engineers have managed to invent a production process and equipment to accomplish this for large scale commercial use.Marigan is headquartered in The Netherlands, with its sales and management office in Dubai (U.A.E.). The main production facilities are in Fujairah (U.A.E.) and Germany. By the end of 2019 a second production facility will be opened in San Diego (U.S.A.) to facilitate further expansion.The company is currently building its pilot plants. The engineers are test-manufacturing the photo-bioreactors and other propriety equipment, and testing the durability of the installations The first sample production is expected to start in the second half of 2017, when also the presales to large global clients will start. Full Commercial production of micro-algae is scheduled to start by early 2018.
