Marine Life Conservation is an association of social promotion, established within the Department of Animal Biology, University of Turin, which since 2003 provides an in-active protection of the marine environment, carrying out scientific research, dissemination and to raise awareness of environmental issues related to the sea. Always engaged in scientific research at sea on cetaceans since 2007 is heavily involved in social projects with velaterapia and dolphin. Sharing his experience with people living in situations of physical, mental and social Marine Life Conservation wants to promote a scientific culture conscious, directed not only to the fans of the sea but also to all those who still do not know him.Since May of 2012 with the active participation of the University Rebaudengo and the Catholic University of Milan began a technical-scientific collaboration to identify a correct methodology of rehabilitation for different disabilities encountered. The study is unique in its kind and the first in Italy. Marine Life Conservation is also involved in environmental education by organizing events and offering educational activities for schools, cooperatives, associations and individual users.All activities are carried out on board of Blue Water, sailing boat equipped for offshore sailing. The outputs of one or more days provide a program of courses dedicated to whale watching and marine biology to which you can add internships and additional activities such as snorkeling, diving, kayaking and hiking. On board is made to the separate collection of waste. Paper, plastics and glass are recovered to 90% with educational activities and workshops in creative recycling.Blue Water is guaranteed a galley biological and "a KmZero", with the aim of a healthy, natural and sustainable. Our naval base is within the Marina di Loano. The boat moves on the main ports of Liguria with routes to Cote d'Azur, Tuscan Archipelago, Corsica and Sardinia.
