The Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen's Association (MSSA) is a non-profit working to protect and preserve the rights, traditions, and future of Maryland's recreational anglers while enhancing fisheries resources and the environment.The MSSA consists of 14 chapters located throughout Maryland and Pennsylavnia totalling nearly 7,000 members. The MSSA is the largest sport fishing organization in the state of Maryland and is known for being, "The Voice of Maryland's Recreational anglers."Founded in the late 80's and known for leading the charge for a striped bass moritorium, the MSSA secured itself as a conservation organization while also celebrating the passion for recreational and sport fishing.
