Founded in 1979 by eleven youth agencies, the Alliance has become a strong voice and advocate for young people. However, due to the current funding environment and the changing needs of the communities we serve, we believe that other community-based organizations are better positioned to take on these challenges. Following a careful and thoughtful business planning process, the Board of Directors made the difficult decision to stop all operations after June 30, 2018 and move to dissolve the Alliance. Without our dedicated staff, board, partners, funders, and donors, the gains made for young people over the last 35 years would not have been possible. We are incredibly grateful for the community's support and trust that we will find different ways to continue this incredibly important work for many years to come.
