Matrix Engineering was formed in February, 2008 by Douglas Unger, P.E. after working with several other consulting engineering firms for the past 22 years. Matrix Engineering is an incorporated business with Douglas Unger as president, and licensed with the State of Idaho Board of Registration authorized to practice professional engineering. We are licensed engineers in the states of: Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Utah. We have $1,000,000 of professional liability coverage and $1,000,000 of business owners (general liability) coverage. Matrix Engineering was created to depart from the high overhead, administrative intense (big box) manner of providing consulting engineering services. We are not a branch office or subsidiary of a large parent company. Matrix Engineering is a focused and responsive professional services provider. The philosophy of Matrix Engineering is to provide a dedicated, effective, efficient, productive team for each of our projects entrusted to us for professional services. Matrix Engineering areas of expertise and services include public, private, and industrial sector clients/accounts. We provide traditional civil engineering services including utility/infrastructure, transportation, heavy civil, land development, and marina system design and engineering from our single office in Boise. Our resources are very diverse, knowledgeable, and experienced. The Matrix Engineering team remains steadfast in pursuing high standards for technical excellence and innovative solutions.
