Our initiatives bring hope, justice and restoration to broken lives and an unjust world.Matryoshka is Russian for mother, but it's also another name for the Russian nesting dolls. The image of the doll is a great metaphor for what we do and who we are. There are many layers to our work economical, political, social, spiritual etc As well as to who we are.We are individuals, in a community, testing ideas in a big city and sharing what we've learnt with people round the world.Haus is the German word for house, home or family. And that is what we are – a house of creatives, a home for growing ideas and a family of people who care deeply about each other.Why not pick an English name that everyone can understand? Well sometimes there is more to be learnt from what isn't known or understood than what is.
