Located in the interior of Puerto Rico, Mayani Farms is a dream realized by Paul and Sarah Ratliff. Mayani Farms is fully organic, with the plan to work on being fully sustainable. We do not use pesticides, chemical fertilizer or chemical weed killers. Instead we use good old fashioned machetes to control weeds. For fertilizer, we use a combination of manure from our dairy goats, compost from our kitchen, uneaten hay, leaves from trees and when needed, organic soil. The goal of Mayani Farms is to be a completely self-sustaining farm. We want to leave this part of the earth in better condition than we found it.
