Meat:Stack was created by three guys with over 30 years experience in the catering and events market. It was born out of frustration for the poor quality of the burger game in the UK at the time. We started on the Newcastle quayside market in 2016 with one thing in mind - bringing the cheeseburger back to its American roots of quality, flavour and simplicity. We source the best beef available from rare and traditional breed cows and mix a bespoke selection of cuts into our patties. We smash them into a raging hot grill, cover in cheese, stack them in double or triples, then steam to melt everything together. Our sauces are freshly made in house and are designed to complement and enhance the beefy flavours we create. Between 2016 and the present day we have had various pop-ups at pubs in Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as a takeaway in the Grainger Market. In July 2020 we opened our first 'brick and mortar' restaurant on the Bigg Market in Newcastle upon Tyne and we are looking to build on the success of this with growth into other cities.We have built a fantastic team and we pride ourselves in looking after them and in turn they look after our customers as we would expect to be treated.We entered the market at a lunchtime pricepoint by designing a quality product that delivers excellent value to our customers and can be served at speed.
