Motion Pictures & Film - Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Founded in 2019, the Melbourne International Youth Film Festival (or MIYFF) is a film festival centered on showcasing youth made and driven shorts and features. The inaugural 2019 event showcased "25 under 25": 25 films, under 25 minutes, by under 25's. Over 13 countries were represented in this exciting and dynamic program that ran over two days. MIYFF's platform highlights the exciting talent of young filmmakers, and celebrates their creations. Our mission is to celebrate diversity and inclusion, highlighting our global similarities rather than differences. Films can't be seen if they are given no screen. We seek a world where young filmmakers truly believe their dreams can become reality. We hope to work collectively with the film community in delivering this vision.*Cover Image still from Best in Festival 2019 winner "Screw the Boys (Fuck Les Gars)" dir. Anthony Coveney
