The Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association (MVDSA) is dedicated to providing information, resources and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and their communities, through improving awareness, increasing acceptance and promoting inclusion. We serve individuals with Down syndrome from diagnosis through adulthood in eleven counties in the Miami Valley, including Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby. We have numerous meetings and events throughout the year and focus on building opportunities, awareness, inclusion and acceptance through social gatherings, public presence and advocacy. We strive to provide information at our meetings that educates, inspires and motivates. Additionally, we aim to create public awareness so that people with Down syndrome are able to enjoy inclusion to the greatest degree possible. The MVDSA also provides Opportunity Award scholarships to provide life-enriching opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome, helping them to reach their fullest potential.MVDSA is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and contributions are fully tax-deductible.
