Mindfulness has roots in ancient wisdom. It is the act of paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment non-judgmentally. It's the non-judgmental part that can be the most challenging and rewarding for those just starting out, because the mind judges. That's what it does.I teach courses and provide private coaching with the goal of helping still the mind, observe it objectively and break free of disturbing thoughts in such a way as to protect and nurture productive, creative thinking.For many, including myself, this has had a profound impact on their lives. Some participants report increased contentment and concentration, as well as reduced stress and worry.
