We live in a skillset driven society. Whenever we don't reach the level of success that is appropriate to the status quo, we are encouraged to develop more skills. We are told to look for a "guru" to teach us the skillset that will make us successful. We get another book, go to the next seminar, go back to school, all the while looking for that one magic skillset that will make everything happen for us. Skillsets are important, no doubt about that; however, more often it is our mindset that we need to establish and evolve. Without a strong mental foundation and clarity we will fall back into a rut and feel stuck no matter how many skills we acquire. We need to learn how to overcome fear and our limiting beliefs as well as establish new habits, learn to set goals, determine what our "why" is, and change who we associate with if we really want to make permanent changes in our lives and live passionately.
