Ministries In Action is a non profit, interdenominational, Christian missions organization that serves the Church throughout the Caribbean, Latin America, and North America. In existence since 1961, MIA helps churches bear a more authentic witness to Jesus Christ through the following ministries: • Evangelism and Church Growth - (MIAS) Training and mobilizing church leaders in the effective use of Small Groups, Friendship Evangelism, Direct Witness, Public Witness, Discipleship and Evaluation. • Theological Training -(IONA Centers) Certificate through Masters level programs of study onsite in the language of the learner. • Holistic Ministry - (Community Transformation) Social and Economic development projects in needy communities done by Short Term Mission Teams such as: (Building Churches, Schools, Clinics, Low Income Housing, Day Care Centers, Medical Missions, HIV/AIDS Prevention) and Biblical Free Enterprise Endeavors that create meaningful jobs in developing countries. Further, as a result of establishing coalitions and partnerships with a large network of churches, government officials and other faith-based organization, MIA initiates Relief Efforts when natural disaster affests our ministry areas.
