We are the MinMinBears, and we set out on a new mission each year, to help those affected by rare diseases by sharing their story. Our inaugural mission is to advocate for those affected by kidney disease and the need for organ donation. We are currently helping the real-life Mindy McCray, our Founder's mother, find her perfect kidney match by visiting all 50 states to tell her story. Mindy has a rare genetic condition called Alport Syndrome, which has caused stage 5 renal failure. Now, she needs your help to live her best life! So, we started the #minminbearchallenge, an online movement to spread the word and tell her story. The MinMinBears, named after her mom, Mindy, began as a way to advocate for their family, and quickly became an outlet to help others.
