MMWF was established in 2004 to begin the gradual work of helping those poorest in these communities to engage socially, and then economically. Working predominately with Black minority ethnic groups, especially the Bangladeshi and Somali communities, MMWF also work with any group of people who have cultural and traditional problems. Such problems can cause isolation, ill-health and disengagement, and ultimately may result in drastic intervention by statutory authorities. We want to be there before this happens. MMWF seeks to identify the most vulnerable people in the community and provide the necessary support and interventions to improve well-being, promote access to services and enable full participation in the local community.
