Monday Club was set up and is ran purely by Irish college students in Dublin. The biggest decision of the startup phase was to base the whole brand on Mental Health as it is such a massive issue that our modern society faces, especially in the college scene. Mondays are always thought to be a gloomy, dull day, back to work, start of the college week, stress, worry. Monday Club is a place to realise that you're not the only one, Monday is the start of the week and there are plenty more days to pick up and get back to yourself. The arrow relates to strength, power, and solidarity, "An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming". Thus, we believe Monday Club has the potential to make a difference in a positive way while providing fashionable apparel in which, you are never alone. This is so important amongst students and young people. In the setting up of MC our co-founders held all meetings and progressed the idea of the brand on the Monday of every week, giving them a window of excitement and something to look forward to and not have it as the start to another week with nothing. All our sales and events will be held on Monday and we have to hold everything of any importance to MCC on the Monday of the week. Therefore that's why we donate a percentage of our profits to a chosen charity each month. In Ireland, men are four times more likely to take their own lives than Irish women. Irish men are most likely to die by suicide on Saturday night or Monday morning. Alcohol is involved in around 50% of Irish suicides. This is growing. This is a problem. This is our problem. A difference in terms of MC is raising awareness, but how?
